El tema de la jurisdicción de cuentas empezó a desarrollarse en 1904 a través de la Ley 56 de 25 de mayo.
Por la cual se aprueba La Convención de las Naciones Unidas Contra la Corrupción. adoptada en Nueva York el 31 de octubre de 2003; y aprobado en Gaceta Oficial el miércoles 11 de mayo de 2005. N°25,296.
Por la cual se adoptan las Guías de Santiago sobre Protección de Víctimas y Testigos.
Por la cual se aprueban la Convención de Las Naciones Unidas contra la Delincuencia Organizada Trasnacional.
Por la cual se aprueba la Convención Interamericana Contra La Corrupción, suscrita en Caracas, Venezuela, el 29 de marzo de 1996; aprobado en Gaceta Oficial el miércoles 8 de julio de 1998. N°23,581.
Que adopta como parte de los lineamientos de atención al público en la Fiscalía general de Cuentas, las 100 Reglas de Brasilia sobre Acceso a la Justicia de las personas en condición de vulnerabilidad.
Que adopta la carta de los derechos de las personas ante la justicia y crea el centro de atención a las personas de la Fiscalía General de Cuentas.
